Armouring Wire is a soft, heavily Zinc coated wire used in the power, terrestrial and marine communications industry for binding electrical cables which are used in places where the cable maybe subjected to crushing or other injury.

Low carbon armouring wires are produced to meet the requirements of Australian Standard
AS 3863 "Galvanised Mild Steel for Armouring Cables"; BS EN 10244 etc. High carbon armouring wires can be produced to customer requirements on request.

Armouring wire is available in diameters ranging from 0.9mm to 8.0mm and is available in either coils or stems.
